Dear shipmates,
Great news! The plans for the upcoming reunion are now final and the details follow.
The event will be held October 6-9, 2011, in New Orleans, Louisiana. As usual, we will kick this off in the hospitality room on the 6th, and a detailed schedule and itinerary will be provided to attendees upon their arrival.
Accommodations: Courtyard by Marriot 124 St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans, La., $109.00 per night.
Attendees need to call central reservations at 800-321-2211 to make reservations, and must ask for the Caloosahatchee Vets Block in order to reserve a room at the special rate. Should any attendees have any questions or concerns about the hotel the direct number is 504-581-9005.
Also, please remember the rate is available for attendees up until Thursday, September 15th. After that point they cannot get the special rate, however they will be able to make reservations at the regular hotel rate for those dates.
On Friday, October 7th, we will be attending the WWII Museum.
On Saturday evening, October 8th, we board the Creole Queen Paddlewheel Ship for a cruise on the Mississippi River and our Annual Banquet/Dinner.
I think this year's event will be even more spectacular than last years, and I would like for everyone to start planning now. Don't forget to call a shipmate to get more participation.
Again, it will be a reunion to remember!
