I would like to express my many thanks to those shipmates who sent their checks on timely manner and make our Caloosahatchee Reunions right on track for this summer. We have 20 people interested to mingled around and committed for the Caloos Reunions. We have 6 more shipmates told me to wait for their final decision to join.

Get ready to meet your shipmates and reminisced those past year events during your happy and hard times aboard the Caloosahatchee. I invited everyone to enjoy the entertainments provided by the Staff of the Spirit of Norfolk. Remember your wedding anniversary years and greet your loving wife a very "Happy Mother's Day" (May 9, 2010).

Please follow your "Plan of the Day" events and remember each shipmates will pin a flower or rose to their spouse before coming aboard the Spirit of Norfolk. Boarding time is 10:30 AM. Please bring your Video's and Digital Camera to view the beauty of the harbor and to see the Battleship USS Wisconsin anchored in the pier.

Here are the directions: CARS and BUS

Take 264 West to the City Hall Ave. exit from Boush St. turns onto waterside drive.

From City Hall Ave. make a left turn onto Boush St. and the Spirit of Norfolk will be on the right just passed the Towne Point park. The Spirit of Norfolk is parked at Waterside Dr. closed to Waterside Mall. Parkings are available into 2 garages across from the mall.

I met some shipmates who have a successful life after retiring from the Navy. I wont forget those hard moments when I was aboard the Caloos. I was highlined to another ship during the bad sea rough weather. BMCM Scherman just looking at me admirably. I have to go down the pit to talk to some BT's and MM to reenlist. Remember my ship motto: "Dont get pissed, reenlist". They hate the Navy but within 6 months of their EAOS, they see me and signed their names for another 4 or 6 years in the Navy.

See you all in our Caloosahatchee Reunions on May 8, 2010 (Saturday).
